Cookie Run chatbot
Cookie Run is a chatbot game using HTML5 technology, created for Extreme Digital's followers on Facebook.
Project goal
The main goal was to draw attention to the brand and strengthen its innovative image - with minimal media spending during the traditionally boisterous Christmas season. The secondary objective was to counteract the negative reactions that get more frequent before Christmas as sales grow. The main challenge was making followers play in a season when they already receive a high level of stimulus.
Project details
We wanted users to have a full experience from the start of the game to claiming a prize. For example, all the players had to do was comment #tobias below the Facebook post that announced the game to get things started. The chatbot automatically wrote to the user after that, with a message that included the game's start button. This mechanism also helped to spread the news of the game from acquaintance to acquaintance. In addition, we maximized user activity with immersive and straightforward gameplay and spun the sweetness factor with Tobias, a penguin collecting cookies while racing among the snowdrifts. Cookie Run was also supported by sweepstakes: its mechanism was designed to encourage a daily return to the game. Following the draw, winners were notified via the chatbot automatically.
