Introduction

The Timetable / SZTE+ chatbot of the University of Szeged provides access to timetable and exam data through a fast and convenient interface, thanks to its active connection to Neptun, Hungary’s unified education system.

Project goal

Using this mobile‑optimized, convenient tool, students of the University of Szeged can easily find their way around their timetable. The app enables students to get up‑to‑date information about their lessons and exams through a clear‑cut interface. As it is available on the Messenger platform, the chatbot is always at hand - there is no need for registration or downloading an application.

Project details

With the help of the Timetable / SZTE+ chatbot, students can access their timetable data in chat or through a graphic UI interface - after logging in to their Neptun account within the chatbot. For example, when asked about someone’s “következő kurzus” (next course), the chatbot shows the details of the given course in the form of a card. Students can see their daily timetable in the graphical interface of the chatbot, while they can access the list of their courses on their profile page. Each course has its own datasheet showing all exam and class dates for the semester. These dates have their own datasheet too, with detailed information about the room and the building to visit, and a direct link to a route planner to the given address. Students can even attach notes to these data sheets, e.g., to remind themselves about homework or an announced exam.
